Comentarios y observaciones: | España (8 Noviembre 2021) From Alternate Perm. Rep. to the IMO We have just referred this information to our maritime administration. Our colleagues in Madrid will reach out the Local Maritime Authority in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. We will inform you as soon as we get further information on this particular case.
Otro (19 Noviembre 2021) From the Government of Cook Islands This Administration has received the notification of the claim from ITF on 07 October 2021. No previous claim was received for the vessel in subject. The vessel has been registered with Maritime Cook Islands since 2018. The vessel was in lay up for refit work and no operations were allowed by this Administration, during the period the claim is referring to. The vessel is not subject to the application of the MLC, as per Article II.4 of the Convention. As MLC Standard A2.5.2 does not apply to the vessel, no financial security insurance was in place. Following the notification from ITF, Maritime Cook Islands has contacted the vessel owners who have provided documentary evidence of crew payment. The owners claim that the crew was paid in full till the end of October when a crew change has been carried out. The vessel was, at the moment of notification of the claim from ITF, and currently is flying a flag other than the Cook Islands'. With reference to report attached to your previous communication, and in particular to the date of notification, this Administration would kindly ask you to amend the date to 07/10/2021 (and not 2012). Furthermore, in the same section, the sentence in bracket (newly flagged under Cook Islands) should be removed as it is not correct.
Fed. Int. de los Trabajadores del Trasporte (ITF) (10 Febrero 2022) Vessel has been broken up and we remain in dispute with the owners for some owed wages
Fed. Int. de los Trabajadores del Trasporte (ITF) (7 Marzo 2023) Payments made to the crew and confirmed by them.
