Comments and Observations: | Non-governmental Organization (17 September 2021) From ISWAN At least 4 seafarers have reported to be suffering from either physical or mental health issues.
International Maritime Organisation (12 October 2021) From IMO Goodwill Ambassador As per the information gathered from Harbour Master Colombo, the said vessel is not abandoned. Vessel is not up to the safe manning and not been an officer(NWKO) on board. Owner was informed and have not taken steps to do the crew change to date. The crew change is allowed in Sri Lanka subject to the Government SOP. I just spoke to General Manager of Specialized Shipping, the agent of the the vessel and learned that they are in the process of obtaining necessary approval for crew change.
ITF (30 November 2021) Vessel has been in Colombo almost 1 year. Previous crew have all been repatriated. All new crew on board now. Local agent is supplying food and provision. Vessel is planning to sail soon. Resolved.
Non-governmental Organization (21 December 2021) From ISWAN All seafarers have returned home and they have been paid their outstanding wages. Resolved.
