2004 - International Labour Conference
2004 - Stamp "Work in freedom"
e0387
June 2004
Work in freedom" is the message of a new stamp issued by the Brazilian Post and Telegraph Company to mark this year's 92nd International Labour Conference. The new postage stamp was unveiled in Geneva where Brazilian Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Ricardo Berzoini and International Labour Office (ILO) Director General Juan Somavia, signed the first issues. At the same time it became available in Brazilian post offices. The ILO logo is displayed in the stamp, as well as well as four rectangles that signal the four fundamental principles and rights at work, from the 1998 ILO Declaration on this subject: freedom of association and collective bargaining, freedom from forced labour, from child labour and from discrimination in employment and occupation.
