- Organismes reconnus

Pursuant to the report submitted by the Government of Iceland on 31 August 2022, under Article 22 of the ILO Constitution, Act on ships No. 66/2021, Chapter IV (Articles 24-41) provide the legal basis for RO's, cf. Regulation 142/2004. For classed vessels there are three organizations. Lloyds, DNV and Bureau Veritas. For non-classed vessels inspections cited in regulations may be carried out by authorized inspection bodies. Two companies have such an authorization, BSI and Frumherji. As guidelines and manuals have not been established for the inspections they are currently not conducted.
