Article 4 of the Convention. Standards for certificates of competency. The Committee notes the Government’s indication in its report that there are around 600 artisanal fishers in the country, organized in five cooperatives. The Government adds that fishers in Djibouti do not currently have a competency certificate and that the country does not have legislation giving effect to the Convention. The Committee requests the Government to provide information on any measures adopted or envisaged to give effect to the Convention.
