The Committee notes that the Government’s report has not been received. It hopes that the next report will contain full information on the matters raised in its previous comments.

Legislation and national policy. The Committee notes the Government’s indication that pursuant to section 1 of Ministerial Order No. 28 of 2010 relating to occupational safety and health (OSH), the implementing instructions on OSH and the working environment were adopted in light of section 237 of the Labour Code. With reference to Article 4 of the Convention on a national OSH policy, the Committee notes that according to the Government, a national strategy on OSH was formulated and focuses on the promotion of a culture of prevention in the area of OSH and securing a sufficient number of labour inspectors, as required under Article 9. With reference to Article 10, the Committee notes the Government’s indication that awareness raising and training courses, to be provided to workers and employers at undertakings, are currently being organized, in addition to the preparation of guidelines to be distributed to workers and employers. However, the Committee notes that the information provided in the Government’s report is very succinct and does not enable it to determine the extent to which effect is given to the Convention. The Committee requests the Government to provide detailed information on the OSH strategy and to indicate the specific provisions of the legislation in force, and on any other measures, which give effect to each of the Articles of the Convention.
Application of the Convention in practice. Noting the absence of information in the Government’s report, the Committee once again requests the Government to give a general appreciation of the manner in which the Convention is applied in practice in the country and attach extracts from inspection reports and, where such statistics exist, information on the number of workers covered by the legislation, the number and nature of the contraventions reported, the number, nature and cause of accidents reported, etc.
