Articles 1–3 of the Convention. Implementation of an active employment policy. The Committee refers to its previous comments on the application of the Convention in the Netherlands, in which it noted that, according to the Government’s 2016 report, the labour participation rate in Bonaire was 73 per cent, compared with 70 per cent in St. Eustatius and 64 per cent in Saba. The Committee also noted the information provided by the Government regarding the implementation of differentiated programmes to promote labour market participation in these special municipalities of the Netherlands. The Committee requests the Government to provide information, including statistical information, disaggregated by sex and age, on active employment measures adopted and implemented, and their impact in promoting full, productive and sustainable employment opportunities in the Caribbean Part of the Netherlands, as contemplated under the Convention. The Committee further requests the Government to provide information specific to the islands of Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba on the consultations held with the representatives of employers’ and workers’ organizations, including details of their contribution to the design and implementation of an active employment policy.
