The Committee notes the observations of the Workers Confederation of Comoros (CTC) received on 19 August 2016. It requests the Government to provide its comments thereon.
The Committee notes the observations of the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) received on 1 September 2015 and 1 September 2016, which are of a general nature.
The Committee notes with regret that the Government’s report has not been received. It hopes that the next report will contain full information on the matters raised in its previous comments.
The Committee notes that the Government’s report indicates that the guarantees contained in the Convention are fully reflected in the Labour Code. The Committee, however, notes with regret that the Government’s report does not respond to the observations made by the Workers Confederation of Comoros (CTC) in 2013.
Article 3 of the Convention. Right of organizations to freely exercise their activities and to formulate their programmes. While noting that, in its 2013 observation, the CTC referred in particular to the dismissal of trade union leaders in the education sector in retaliation for having engaged in strike action, the Committee requests the Government to provide its comments on these events and to specify the content of the legislative and regulatory provisions applicable to strikes.
