Labour Inspection (Agriculture) Convention, 1969 (No. 129) - Italy (Ratification: 1981)

The Committee refers the Government to its comments in relation to Articles 4, 6 and 11 of the Labour Inspection Convention, 1947 (No. 81), in so far as they also concern the application of the corresponding Articles of the present Convention (Articles 7, 8 and 15). In addition, the Committee wishes to raise the following point.

Articles 13, 26 and 27 of the Convention. Content of the annual labour inspection reports in agriculture. The Committee notes that the 2013 annual labour inspection report published by the Directorate General for Inspection Services and communicated with the Government’s report contains no information on occupational accidents and cases of occupational disease in agriculture as required by Article 27(f) and (g) of the Convention, but that such information is contained in the annual reports of the National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work (INAIL). The Committee requests the Government to consider, in view of the statistics available that could be obtained through inter-institutional cooperation with the INAIL, including all the data required under Article 27, including those provided in paragraphs (f) and (g), in the annual report on the labour inspection services published by the Directorate General for Inspection Services, so as to facilitate the assessment of the work of the labour inspection authorities and the allocation of adequate resources.
