Article 1 of the Convention. Contribution of the employment service to employment promotion. The Committee notes the Government’s general indications that not all Dutch legislation or policies directly apply to the islands of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba, and that the Antilles legislation that was in force on these three islands prior to 10 October 2010 remained unchanged. The Government adds that since then there have been no new developments. The Committee requests the Government to provide updated information on the activities carried out by the employment service in the Caribbean part of the Netherlands and the manner in which it ensures “the best possible organisation of the employment market as an integral part of the national programme for the achievement and maintenance of full employment and the development and use of productive resources”. It also requests the Government to provide information on the number of public employment offices established, the number of applications for employment received, the number of vacancies notified and the number of persons placed in employment by the offices.
