Application of the Convention in practice. The Committee notes the information provided by the Government regarding the statistical data on orders and how many of them have led to decisions of coercive fines and halts. The Committee notes that there were five orders in 2010, one in 2011, three in 2012 and 711 in 2013. Of those 711 in 2013, the Committee notes that there were 89 coercive fines and four decisions of halts in 2013. The Committee requests the Government to indicate the causes of this increase in orders, the nature of the cases concerned, and measures taken or envisaged to strengthen the application of the Convention in practice. The Committee also requests the Government to continue to provide relevant statistical information, including the number and the nature of the contraventions reported.
