With reference to its previous observation, the Committee notes with satisfaction the adoption of Decision No. C.D.390 of 10 November 2011 which contains the general regulations on occupational risk insurance (R-SGRT) and repeals Decision No. 741, and also section 177 of the Codified Statute of the Ecuadorean Social Security Institute (IESS). The aforementioned general regulations incorporate in Annex I, the revised list of occupational diseases adopted by the ILO in 2010 (the List of Occupational Diseases Recommendation, 2002 (No. 194)) and a presumption of occupational origin of the diseases included in the list and the demonstration of proof in the cause-effect investigation (sections 12 and 13), in conformity with Article 8 of the Convention. The Committee also notes with satisfaction that section 7 of Decision No. C.D.390 covers chronic diseases, in conformity with Article 9 of the Convention.
The Committee is raising other points in a request addressed directly to the Government.
