The Committee notes with regret that the Government’s report has not been received. It hopes that a report will be supplied for examination by the Committee at its next session and that it will contain full information on the matters raised in its previous direct request, which read as follows:
Repetition
The Committee takes note of the Government’s brief report in which it indicates that no new legislation has been adopted to give effect to the Convention since 1999 and that no court ruling has been handed down relating to the principles set out in the instrument.
Part IV of the report form. With reference to the Government’s previous report announcing the establishment of the Observatory of Labour and Professions, the Committee would be grateful if the Government would provide information enabling it to assess the manner in which the Convention is applied in practice, including extracts of any reports or other periodic information submitted by the principal services of the labour administration referred in Paragraph 20 of Recommendation No. 158, including the Observatory since its establishment.
