Convention concerning Statistics of Wages and Hours of Work, 1938 (No. 63) - Myanmar (Ratification: 1961)

The Committee notes the Government’s report which was received at the ILO on 5 October 2010.

Article 1(b) and (c) of the Convention. Publication and communication to the ILO of the statistics covered by the Convention. With reference to its previous comments, the Committee notes that, according to the Government’s report, the employment statistics collected through the Labour Exchange Offices are published in the Statistical Yearbook by the Central Statistical Office. The Committee observes, however, that to date no relevant publication has been received at the ILO as required by Article 1(c) of the Convention. The Committee therefore requests the Government to send a copy of the Statistical Yearbook to the ILO at the earliest possible date, as provided for in Article 1(c) of the Convention.

In this regard, the Committee draws the Government’s attention to Resolution I adopted by the 18th International Conference of Labour Statisticians concerning the measurement of working time.
