The Committee notes with regret that the Government’s report has not been received. It hopes that a report will be supplied for examination by the Committee at its next session and that it will contain full information on the matters raised in its previous direct request, which read as follows:

The Committee notes the information supplied by the Government in reply to its earlier comments. It notes, in particular, the Government’s statement to the effect that the formulation of regulations concerning dock work has been postponed. The Government indicates that, after having been reviewed, the draft regulations will be submitted to the competent authorities for adoption. The Committee reiterates its hope that the draft regulations to which the Government has been referring over a number of years will be adopted in the near future and asks the Government to supply a copy of these regulations as soon as they are adopted. It also trusts that the Government will not fail to supply a full report on the application of the Convention in the form approved by the Governing Body, together with copies of relevant laws, regulations, etc., by which the Convention is applied.
