The Committee took note of the Government's first report on the application of the Convention. In order to ascertain fully the effect given to each of the provisions of the Convention, the Committee would be grateful if in its second report the Government would provide supplementary information in reply to the questions set out in the report form with reference to the following points.

Article 1, paragraphs 1-4, of the Convention. The Committee notes with interest the guidelines relating to human resources development set out in the VIIIth Economic and Social Development Plan (1992-96). Please forward with the next report the relevant extracts of the VIIIth Plan. The Committee notes the institutional provisions for the development of coordinated programmes of vocational guidance and vocational training closely linked with employment. Please give particulars on the frequency of the meetings of the National Council for Vocational Training and its standing committees. Please forward a copy of the documents adopted by these bodies.

Article 2. Please describe the systems of general, technical and vocational education, educational and vocational guidance and vocational training, whether within the system of formal education or outside it.

Article 3, paragraph 1. Please indicate the measures taken to ensure that comprehensive information and the broadest possible guidance are available to all children, young persons and adults.

Article 3, paragraphs 2 and 3. Please describe the type of information available for vocational guidance and supply samples of the documentation made available. Please indicate the measures for ensuring that the relevant information is kept up to date.

Article 4. Please indicate the measures taken or contemplated to extend or adapt the vocational training systems to new sectors of economic activity and to all levels of skill.
