Examination Regulations for Certificates of Competency for Deck Officers, 1994 (No. R. 738 of 1994)

Comprised of 8 Chapters and 66 sections. Chapter 1 provides for general matters such as classes of certificates and voluntary examinations for master special grade etc.. Chapter 2 concerns requirements for obtaining certificates. Chapter 3 deals with classes of certificates (specific requirements). Chapters 4 and 5 regulate estimation of sea service and training schemes. Chapter 6 governs conduct of examinations. Chapter 7 deals with dangerous cargo endorsements and Chapter 8 provides for withdrawal and short title. Made under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1951.
