Chapter 4 concerns health insurance benefits and housing benefits, as well as certain service bonuses.

These Regulations made under the Education Ordinance, 1956 provide that teachers must retire on pension at age 65, or may choose to retire with pension as early as age 60 if they fulfill specified requirements.

This Act amends the Education and Training Act, 1979, to provide that persons other than blacks may be admitted to certain schools; to provide that the Minister may make and approve appointments or promotions of educators with retrospective effect; to increase the fine which may be imposed upon an educator found guilty of misconduct; and to exclude the territory of South West Africa from the application of the Act.
