Establishes the principles and procedures governing the acquisition and loss of Uzbek nationality as well as other issues concerning the status of Uzbek citizens. Generally, Uzbek nationality is acquired by birth, naturalization, international treaty, and on some other bases provided by the Act. Also defines the grounds for the loss of Uzbek nationality. Establishes the procedure for examining petitions for granting, restoring or renouncing Uzbek nationality.
