Consolidates existing legislation relating to development of the industrial sector, transfer of technology, upgrading of small and medium enterprises, and integration of non-Export Processing Zone subsectors into the Export Processing Zone sector. Section 20 contains labour provisions relating to wage, overtime, maternity leave, hours of work and severance pay for persons employed in export processing zones.

Governs recognition of areas as export porcessing zones. No overtime shall be paid for work which does not exceed 45 hours a week. A female employee who has had three confinements, if pregnant, shall be entitled to maternity leave without pay. Part IV of the Labour Act does not apply to employees in EPZs except in the case of unfair dismissal.
