Sixty-five percent of estimate must be allocated to business organizations to meet their expenses. Remaining thirty-five percent may be allocated freely.

Establishes obligation of employer to ensure that convicts have access to elementary school education, vocational training, employment, therapeutic care and opportunities to participate in cultural and sports events as well as in programmes aimed at their psychological development and rehabilitation. Individual sections deal with organisation of employment, convict work without remuneration, general rules of employment, working hours, leisure time, overtime work, paid holidays, remuneration, system of classification, wage of trainee, bonuses, demurrage days, pecuniary incentives for motivation of convicts, vocational training of convicts, and therapeutic occupation.

Adoption: 1989-06-30 | HUN-1989-L-9094 Introduit deux nouvelles dispositions: l'article 336/A selon lequel quiconque étant astreint au service militaire, ne s'acquitte pas du service civil, commet un délit passible de 3 ans de réclusion et l'article 336/B aux termes duquel quiconque agit de maničre ŕ soustraire une telle personne ŕ l'accomplissement du service civil est également passible d'une peine de 3 ans de réclusion. Abroge l'article 266 du code pénal ainsi que l'article 91 de la loi No. I de 1968 concernant les infractions ŕ la législation. Le paragraphe 5 énonce que les peines infligées pour vagabondage avant l'entrée en vigueur de cette loi sont supprimées.

Law-decree on the execution of prison sentences and measures (No. 11 of 1979). Adoption: 1979 | HUN-1979-L-62104 Regulates execution of prison sentences. Part I sets forth basic principles. Part III provides for duties and rights of convicts. These include the carrying out of work which is assigned to the prisoner, and occasional participation in cleaning and supplying of the penal institution without remuneration. Part IV deals with education of convicts. Part V regulates employment of convicts. Establishes that convict employment constitutes essential part of imprisonment. Objective of employment is to help convicts maintain their corporeal and mental skills. Convict must be assigned socially useful work, within the range of the penal institute's capacities. When assigning a particular task to a convict, his coproreal and mental capacities must be taken into account. Also makes provision for remuneration of prisoners. Part VI provides for convict's material supply and health care.
