Art. 3 states that the Code will come into force once published in the Government Gazette. As at 14th September 2017, no information had been received confirming that the Code had been published.

Civil Procedure Code of the State of Eritrea, 2015 - Adoption: 2015-05-15 | ERI-2015-L-101052 The Civil Procedure Code of the State of Eritrea provides the mechanism by which persons access courts for the proper determination and enforcement of their rights and duties. It regulates the process courts should follow in adjudicating civil and commercial disputes.
The Code, as a means to reach substantive justice, incorporates rules and principles with the end of ensuring both substantive and procedural justice in the judicial process. To this end, this Code provides equal and fair treatment of parties to a dispute by putting in place provisions which afford reasonable and equal opportunities at every stage of the process. It aims to govern the litigation process to an extent which leaves little or no room for any arbitrariness in exercising judicial discretion thereby ensuring fairness and justice.

Criminal Procedure Code of the State of Eritrea, 2015. - Adoption: 2015-05-15 | ERI-2015-L-101053 The enactment and active functioning of this Code assumes the further institutionalization under law of the various organs of adjudication and law enforcement as well as the continued and enhanced public awareness of the basic tenets of Eritrean criminal law and procedure. To function in tune with the Penal Code and other relevant regulations of Eritrea, this Criminal Procedure Code of the State of Eritrea will ensure the aggregated objectives of ensuring peaceful and secured life under law, the prevention of and willingness to fight crime as well as the just treatment of offenders.

Labour Proclamation of Eritrea (No. 118 of 2001). - Adoption: 2001-11-15 | ERI-2001-L-61291 Comprehensive legislation on labour relations. Divided into 13 parts. Part I contains preliminary provisions. Part II deals with employment of job seekers, and work permit for non-nationals. Part III provides for contract of employment, and rights and obligations of parties to contract. Part IV regulates termination of employment. Part V contains provisions regarding special labour contracts. Part VI deals with wages, hours of work, leave, public holidays, working conditions of the disabled, working conditions of women and young employees, and employment injuries. Part VII contains provisions regarding social security. Part VIII regulates formation of associations and collective bargaining. Part IX provides for strike, lockout and unfair labour practices. Part X regulates settlement of labour disputes. Part XI contains provisions regarding labour administration, Part XII on period of limitation and priority of claims, and finally, Part XIII on penalties.

Constitution of Eritrea. - Adoption: 1997-05-23 | ERI-1997-C-50149 Chapter III provides for fundamental rights, freedoms and duties. Inter alia, prohibits discrimination based on race, ethnic origin, language, colour, gender, religion, disability, age, political views, or social or economic status; also prohibits forced labour and torture. Provides the right to due process of law and freedom of association (art. 19). Art. 27 allows the President to proclaim a state of emergency.
