    Section 6 of the Labour Relations (Domestic Workers) Employment (Amendment) Regulations, 1992 is repealed and substitute with a new section on accommodation, transport, lights and fuel. Also amends the first schedule concerning grading and wages and the second schedule concerning monthly minimum allowances.

    Repeals the first and second schedules to the Labour Relatins (Domestic Workers) Employment Regulations (No. 377 of 1992) and, thereby, raises domestic workers' wages by 35 per cent and minimum allowances by 70 per cent.

    Amends the definitions of "child-minder", "cook/housekeeper" and "disabled/aged-minder". Amends subsection 3 of section 8 by substituting the words "industrial holiday" for the words "public holiday".

    Regulates the working conditions of domestic workers, covering such matters as grading and wages, hours of work, accommodation, transport, lights and fuel, payments for overtime, payments for wages, part-time and casual employment, vacation leave, benefits during sickness, contract and notice, maternity leave, protective equipment, and gratuities on termination of employment. Repeals the Employment (Domestic Workers) Regulations, 1981; the Employment (Domestic Workers) (Amendment) Regulations, 1982 (No. 1); the Employment (Domestic Workers) (Amendment) Regulations, 1984 (No. 3); and the Employment (Domestic Workers) (Amendment) Regulations, 1985 (No.4). Made under the Labour Relations Act, 1985.
