    Amends the third Schedule of the Manpower Planning and Development (Construction Industry) Notice, 1979 (S.I. 717 of 1979) concerning minimum rates of wages for apprentices, and repeals the Manpower Planning and Development (Construction Industry) (Amendment) Notice, 1993 (No. 10)

    Provides that the period of apprenticeship in all prescribed occupations and designated trades shall be four years, except in the cases of apprenticeship in the trade of floorlayer, where the period shall be two years and six months, and in the trade of building electrical installations wireman, where the period shall be three years. Made under section 29 of the Manpower Planning and Development Act, 1984.
