    Labour Relations (Employment of Children and Young Persons) Regulations, 1997 (S.I. No. 72 of 1997).

    Adoption: 1997-03-14 | ZWE-1997-R-46825

    Prohibits the employment of children (defined as under 16 years of age) and young persons (under 18) in underground mining, night work, work involving hazardous substances or specified machinery, or work which interferes with a child's education. Permits employment of children 12 years of age or more in light work, provided that the work is limited to 6 hours a day, appropriate records are maintained, and a contract is concluded between the employer and the child's legal guardian specifying wages and hours of work.
