(Lag (1987:1245) om styrelserepresentation för de privatanställda) - Adoption: 1987-12-17 | SWE-1987-L-4662 Regulates employees' representation on the boards of joint-stock companies, banks, mortgage institutions, insurance companies and incorporated associations. A person who is an employee of a parent company and who works in a subsidiary will also be considered to be an employee of the latter. Likewise, a collective agreement concluded between a local employees' organisation and a parent company will be applicable to the subsidiary if the employee is working in the latter. In a company which employed at least 25 employees during the past 6 years, two representatives (and two substitutes) shall be appointed. If the concern has activities in different fields and has employed an average of 1000 employees in Sweden, three representatives (and three substitutes) shall be appointed. However, the number of employees' representatives cannot exceed the number of other representatives on the board. Once the employees' representatives have been appointed, a change in the number of either the employed personnel or the other members of the board will not affect these representatives' term of office.
