Pensions (School Teachers) (Amendment) Act 1994 (No. 4 of 1994) Adoption: 1994-03-23 | GRD-1994-L-36958 Provides that a teacher who has occupied, for not less than 10 years, the position of a teacher in any school and who has attained the age of fifty years, or who has completed twenty-six years and eight months of continuous service as a teacher in any school (irrespective of age) may on retirement be granted a pension as provided in this Act. Provides that every teacher under the age of fifty years who has completed twenty years of continuous service as a teacher in any school may retire and may be granted a pension (the teacher must give two years written notice to the Public Service Commission of intention to retire at the expiration of that notice).
