    These Regulations, made under the Grenada Shipping Act 1994, provide for port control in relation with the safety of ships and port facilities. They provide rules relative to control of implementation of the International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships Carrying Liquified Gases in Bulk, the International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships Carrying Dangerous Chemicals in Bulk and the International Code for the Security of Ships and Port Facilities.

    Consists of 20 Parts and 467 sections. Part VI regulates the manning of ships and certification of seafarers. Part VII concerns the engagement and welfare of seamen, and includes provisions on engagement and discharge of seaman, seamen's wages, property of deceased seamen, provisions and water, health, welfare and occupational safety, protection of seamen from imposition, provisions as to discipline and relief and repatriation of seamen.
