    This Act amends the the Co-operative Societies Act in sub-section (4) of section 121 with respect to the prohibition to make loans to a director or committee member at terms more favourable than those offered to a general membership.

    This Act makes provision with respect to establishment, registration, management, operation and dissolution of cooperative societies in Grenada. It also contains rules relative to the marketing of produce through cooperative societies and provides for settlement of disputes. For this purpose it establishes the Co-operative Societies Appeals Tribunal. Before carrying out business, co-operative societies shall be registered with the Registrar of Co-operative Societies established under this Act.
