    Establishes the Department of Labour and the Labour Advisory Board. Part IV sets forth fundamental principles, prohibiting forced labour and discrimination on the grounds of race, colour, national extraction, social origin, religion, political opinion, sex, marital status, family responsibilities, age or disability. Provides for equal pay for equal work (s. 27) and remedies for infringements of rights. Part V covers employment contracts, which shall include three types: contracts for a specific task, contracts for a specific time period, or contracts for unspecified time. Contracts drawn up for specific periods of time or taks shall be considered contracts for an unspecified period of time if the nature of the work is part of the normal and permanent activity of the undertaking. The Act also covers protection and regulation of wages, leave, maternity leave, discipline, and termination of employment. An attached Schedule sets forth conditions regarding employment contracts. Repeals the Employers and Employees Act (Cap. 89), Department of Labour Act (Cap. 80), Employment of Women, Young Persons and Children Act (Cap. 90), Labour Clauses (Public Contracts) Act (Cap. 157), Maternity Leave Act (Cap. 187), Shop (Hours) Act, (Cap. 304), and the Wages Council Act (Cap. 334).

    Governs registration of trade unions, and status, rights and duties of registered trade unions. Part V provides for freedom of association and prohibits discrimination on the grounds of trade union participation. It also provides for freedom of association for employers. Part VI provides for exclusive bargaining rights for trade unions. Part VIII concerns labour disputes, and allows the Minister to refer a dispute for settlement through arbitration. Part IX provides for employees' ancillary rights, including the right to peacefully picket, to refuse to do work normally done by employees who are on strike, and the right to return to work after a strike action. Prohibits violence or intimidation in connection with a labour dispute. Repeals the Trade Disputes (Arbitration and Inquiry) Act (Cap. 324), the Trade Union (Recognition) Act, Cap. 325, and the Trade Unions and Trade Disputes Act, (Cap. 326).
