Health Services Act (Act No. 38 of 1969) (Cap. 44). - Adoption: 1969-09-01 | BRB-1969-L-87106 The Minister may divide Barbados into health and sanitation districts under section 3.The Minister, responsible for the implementation of provisions of the present Act, shall carry the functions outlined in section 4. Functions include the suppression of diseases and the control of food. The Minister has the power to construct sewers (sect. 6). Section 18 concerns the sale of food and other products. Section 19 prohibits the taking of water from public taps without permission. The Minister may establish such Boards and Committees as he may think fit for purposes of this Act.
