    Provides for preferential payments in banksruptcy. Gives effect to ILO convention No. 173 on Protection of Workers' Claims in the event of Insolvency of the Employer. Priority debts are listed in section 2. Repeals Preferential Claims in Bankruptcy Act.

    Labour (National Employment Code of Conduct) Regulations, 2006 (S.I. No. 15 of 2006). - Regulations on-line

    Adoption: 2006-01-27 | ZWE-2006-R-73402

    Provides a code of conduct for the termination of a contract of employment for disciplinary reasons. It defines the meaning of misconduct, sets out the steps to take for termination of the contract and provides measures for disciplinary procedures. It also includes regulations for penalties and appeals. The Labour Relations (General Conditions of Employment) (Termination of Employment) Regulations, 2003 (S.I. No. 130 of 2003) are repealed.

  3. Zimbabwe - Employment security, termination of employment - Regulation, Decree, Ordinance

    Labour Relations (Retrenchment) Regulations, 2003 (S.I. 186 of 2003).

    Regulates the retrenchment of less than 5 employees in any six month period including the giving of notice, the establishemnt of a Retrenchment Board and approval of retrenchment. These Regulations repeal the Labour Relations (Retrenchment) Regulations, 2003 (S.I. 132 of 2003). Retrenchments of 5 employees and over are dealt with under sections 12C and D of the Labour Act.

    Labour Relations (Terminal Benefits and Entitlements of Agricultural Employees Affected by Compulsory Acquisition) Regulations, 2002 (S.I. No. 6 of 2002).

    Determines amount to be paid by employer to employee in the event that it became necessary for the employer to terminate the employment of employee because farm or part of farm belonging to the employer has been compulsorily acquired for resettlement or other purposes in terms of the Land Acquisition Act. Also determines when employment is deemed to have been terminated because of compulsory acquisition. Establishes Agricultural Employees' Compensation Committee. Determines when terminal benefits and entitlements due may be deducted from compensation payable to employer.

    Labour Relations (Dairy Trade Industry) (Employment) (Amendment) Regulations, 1993 (No. 2) (S.I. No. 275 of 1993)

    Provides than an employer may not summarily or otherwise terminate a contract of employment with an employee unless he has obtained prior written approval of the Minister to do so. Also provisions in respect to minimum wages, transfer allowances and benefits after death of employee.

    Labour Relations (General Conditions of Employment)(Termination of Employment) Regulations 1985 (S.I. 371 of 1985)

    These Regulations under section 17 of the Labour Relations Act 1985 describes the conditions under which an employer may terminate the employment contract of an employee.
