5° pourvoir à l'établissement du contrat d'engagement maritime et assurer le suivi de son exécution;
6° assurer le suivi des voyages ainsi que du rapatriement des marins;
7° assurer la formation et le perfectionnement professionnel des marins;
8° assurer l'affiliation des marins à l'INSS et éventuellement organiser un régime complémentaire d'assurance sociale;
9° effectuer les versements à l'INSS, des cotisations des marins en voyage ou à terre;
10° assurer les soins de santé des marins à terre ainsi qu'à leur famille;
11° payer les indemnités d'attente aux marins à terre;
12° percevoir les prestations des marins ainsi que les frais administratifs aux armateurs.
Prévoit que les accidents de travail survenus en cours de voyage ou à terre pour les prestations temporaires sont couverts par les armateurs.
