Second Region

Provides for a uniform system for the organization, governance and funding of schools. Schedule 2 amends provisions of the Educators' Employment Act 1994 relating to, inter alia, appointment, promotion, transfer and secondment of school teachers.

Inter alia sets out the compulsory school age which is that all children must attend school from the first school day of the year in which such learner reaches the age of seven years until the last school day of the year in which such learner reaches the age of fifteen years or the ninth grade, whichever occurs first.
