Résumé/Citation: Defines what should and should not be considered as personal protective equipment. It defines conditions when an employer is obliged to provide personal protective equipment to employees, the required qualities of this equipment as well as rights and duties of both employers and employees with regard to the protective equipment. Incorporates Directive 89/656/EEC of 30 November 1989 into Slovak legal order.
Annex 1 gives a list of different personal protective equipments; Annex 2 lists different kinds of danger; Annex 3 enumerates activities for which the use of personal protective equipments is required; Annex 4 lists criteria for choice of protective equipment.
