Résumé/Citation: |
Determines the protection that workers must receive if their exposure to noise is below or above the prescribed level. Also sets forth the duty of the employer to make a risk assessment, which includes a noise inspection of the workplace in specific situations. When making the risk assessment, the employer must take into account possible effects on vulnerable workers such as pregnant women, youth or persons with hearing disorders. If the workers' exposure to noise is above the prescribed level, the employer has to provide access to a medical examination, which the worker must undergo. |
