Résumé/Citation: The Act addresses a possible area of unconstitutionality in the principal Act, namely the designation of presiding officers of Equality Courts by the Minister. This is intended to enhance the independence of the judiciary. The Act also facilitates the implementation of the principal Act by providing for an incremental approach of establishing Equality Courts at the level of the lower courts, which, in turn, will provide affordable and accessible remedies to persons who are subject to unfair discrimination, hate speech or harassment.
