Makes provision for disclosure rules so as to enable policyholders to make informed decisions with regard to long-term insurance products and to ensure that intermediaries and insurers conduct business honestly and fairly, and with due care and diligence. Individual sections provide for rules on disclosure, on replacement policies, on cancellation of policies and cooling-off, on group schemes and fund policies, and special provisions regarding marketing of products directly to the public, and policy loans and cessions.
