| Résumé/Citation: | Provides for the establishment, organisation, regulation and control of the South African Police Service. Chapters 3-5 provide for the appointment of National and Provincial Commissioners, and set out the duties and responsibilities of such. Chapter 6 establishes an Organised Crime and Public Order Policing Unit; Chapter 7 a Community Police Forums and Boards. Appointments, dismissals and conditions of employment are covered in Chapter 9. Chapter 10 establishes an Independent Complaints Directorate, charged with investigating misconduct of any member of the Police Force. |
