Résumé/Citation: According to the act, a collective agreement is a legal act concluded between an employer and a trade union represented by its executive body, another executive body appointed by workers or a general assembly of the workers, whereas a workplace agreement has a limited scope (professional, sectorial or territorial). These agreements must be in accordance with the legislation in force. On the other hand, no individual labour contract can provide for less favourable conditions for the worker than the ones fixed by the legislation or the agreement. This act establishes equality of parties for collective bargaining (including for the revision of concluded texts). Provides for sanctions against employers who refuse to negociate, violate concluded provisions or do not give the necessary information. Put into force by Ordinance No. 2491-I of Supreme Soviet of 11 March 1992.
