Résumé/Citation: Act to amend the provisions of the Workmen's Compensation Act 1941 [LS 1941 - SA 2 ... 1956 - SA 3] relating to the definitions of "financial year" and "child"; to fix a higher maximum earnings limit for the purposes of the definition of "workman"; to extend the age limit of certain persons who are deemed to be dependent upon a workman; to provide for the utilisation of certain unclaimed moneys; to alter the year in respect of which balance sheets shall be prepared by the commissioner; to increase the maximum amount of compensation payable to workmen; to extend the age limit at which the pension payable to certain children ceases; to further adjust pensions; to provide for the imposition of penalties on certain employers who fail to report accidents; to provide for further exemptions from the payment of assessments; and to provide for incidental matters.
