Abstract/Citation
"Offensive Trade" means any trade, business, or manufactures specified in the Schedule and includes slaughtering and other processing of animals. No person shall establish or carry out an offensive trade unless a licence has been obtained from the Medical Officer of Health. This Officer may issue a licence to an applicant subject to such conditions as he thinks fit. Licences may be cancelled if any provision of these Regulations has been contravened or continuation of the licence is detrimental to public health. Plans to build a premises for purposes of an offensive trade shall be submitted to and approved by the Medical Officer of Health. Certain requirements regarding offensive trades are prescribed.
