Abstract/Citation: Provides for State ownership and control of mineral substances, as well as the procedures for the protection, management, use, utilization, and attraction and promotion of private investment in mineral activities. In particular contains provisions which oblige a Mining licencee to establish and implement an occupational safety and health plan (article 77) and prohibits the employment of child labour in mines (article 79).

Repeals the Minerals Law, dated 15/01/1375 [1996], published in Official Gazette No. 782.
