Abstract/Citation: Makes provision for the licensing, regulation and supervision of superannuation funds, trustees, investment managers and fund administrators, the imposition of mandatory contributions to superannuation funds and to amend various Acts.
Amends the following Acts
- the National Provident Fund Act 1980 is amended in accordance with Schedule 5; and
- the Public Officers Superannuation Fund Act 1990 is amended in accordance with Schedule 6; and
- the Defence Force Retirement Benefits Act 1974 is amended in accordance with Schedule 7; and
- the Companies Act 1997 is amended in accordance with Schedule 8.
On the day on which the National Provident Fund becomes an authorized superannuation fund under Section 8, the National Provident Fund Act (Chapter 377) is repealed.
