Abstract/Citation: Provides for affirmative action programmes to promote employment for designated groups, which shall include women, disabled persons, and persons who belong to ethnic groups which are disadvantaged due to racially discriminatory laws or practices before the independence of Namibia. Employers shall give preferential treatment to persons from such designated groups by providing employment and removing employment barriers. Establishes an Employment Equity Commission to oversee the impelmentation of the Act.
