Second Region

Gives effect to the Council Directive 90/394/EEC of 28 June 1990 on the protection of workers from risks related to exposure to carcinogens at work. Whenever an employee is or can be exposed to carcinogenic substances or processes, the employer must keep a register with all necessary information concerning these substances and processes. The employer must determine the nature, amount and duration of exposure in order to assess the health risks, and must take all possible measures to prevent or limit exposure and processes. Employees taking up duties that might be dangerous for safety and health must be provided with the facility to undergo an occupational health examination and with information concerning the nature of their duties and the hazards related to them. List of carcinogenic processes and substances annexed.
