Abstract/Citation: | This Decision, issued by the Minister of Public Health, concerns the organisation and the administration of preliminary and periodic medical examinations. Such examinations shall take place every year for workers under 18 years and once every 3 years for workers over 40 years of age, and once every 5 years for workers between 18 and 40. Particular attention is given to minors under age 18, in accordance with provisions of the Labour Code, as well as to workers in contact with harmful substances. The results of the examinations shall be submitted to the competent bodies for analysis. Additional provisions provide a definition of "organic disease of the central nervous system", "psychic diseases" and "drug addiction". The final provisions specify that this Decision has been approved by the Central Council of Bulgarian Trade Unions and by the Committee on Labour and Social Affairs; it repeals Ordinance No. 14 of 1983 on the same subject. |
