Abstract/Citation: Care allowance is given for children who are Swedish nationals and residents in Sweden. Care allowance is also given for children who are foreign citizens and have been residents in Sweden for at least six months. Care allowance is payable at the rate of 2,000 SEK per month. Reduced care allowance is given if the child partly spends time at a child care facility.
