Abstract/Citation
Establishes a National Shipping Board and a Shipping Development Fund, provides for registration of Indian ships, certification of officers, apprenticeships, employment offices, employment of young persons, rights relating to wages, relief of distressed seamen, safety consderations, and other related matters. Repeals the Merchant Shipping Laws (Extension To Acceding States and Amendment) Act, 1949 (No. 18 of 1949).
