Numerous amendments, inter alia, to ss. 179, 180 (employment of persons in mines), 181 to 183 (medical examinations), 191 to 203 (safety in mines) and 204 to 215 (accidents in mines), and repeals the Mining Act 1926 (LS 1926 - NZ 1), as amended, and the Mining Amendment Act 1948 (LS 1948 - NZ 1), as amended.
